Fashion Forecast is a wardrobe app built with your privacy as a design constraint, not an afterthought. This policy explains exactly what data leaves your phone, what stays on it, and why.
Fashion Forecast stores the following on your device only:
We never receive, access, or store any of this. It is stored only on your device, except when you use AI Import (the photos you select pass through our server to Google's AI) or when the app fetches weather (rounded coordinates pass through our server to Open-Meteo). Neither is stored by us.
We collect no account information, no name, no email address, no gender. We use no advertising identifiers (IDFA), no analytics services that transmit data off your device, and no crash-reporting services that send data to us.
Only two kinds of data ever leave your device, and only for the purposes described in sections 3 and 4: rounded location coordinates (and trip city names) for weather forecasts, and the photos you choose to send through AI Import. Both pass through our server in memory only — we do not log or store them.
Location is used only in the moment to fetch current weather for outfit suggestions. Your device's location coordinates are rounded to approximately 1 km (~2 decimal places) and sent through our server to Open-Meteo to fetch weather forecasts. We never log or store your coordinates — they pass through in-memory only.
The app contacts two external services. We do not sell or share your data with any of them beyond what is described here.
Clothing photos are stored only on your device. When photos are imported, the app re-saves them in a way that strips GPS location metadata (EXIF data). We do not read, retain, or transmit location information embedded in photos.
You can export an encrypted backup file and save it to a location you control — the Files app or iCloud Drive. We never receive backup files. If you choose password encryption, the password never leaves your device. We cannot recover it.
The optional Face ID lock uses iOS's built-in authentication. Fashion Forecast never sees or stores your biometric data. Apple handles the authentication entirely.
Fashion Forecast is intended only for people 18 and older. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us information (for example, by emailing support), contact us and we will delete it.
We will update this page and notify users inside the app before making any material changes — specifically before adding any account system or cloud storage. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
